Favourite Charities

Below are links to some of my favourite charities.

INTERNATIONAL CAT CARE

I’ve long been a fan of International Cat Care. They are grounded in great science and totally true to welfare and ethics for cats all over the world, homed and homeless. They are an organisation that is not afraid to speak out about controversial welfare issues. For them, the health and welfare of cats is the priority.

RABBIT WELFARE
ASSOCIATION & FUND

I’m a patron of RWAF. Rabbits are some of the least understood and most neglected pets. RWAF are excellent educators and champions of rabbit welfare. A hutch is most certainly not enough.

ANIMAL WELFARE ASSOCIATION

I’m an ambassador for AWF and was a trustee for 6 years. They are small compared to many animal charities and quite unknown but very worthy. Their mission is to improve animal welfare through education, science and debate.

BLUE CROSS

Blue Cross is an excellent animal charity. Their education and adoption programmes are excellent and they play a huge part in rehoming wonderful animals that deserve better.

BROOKE ACTION FOR WORKING HORSES & DONKEYS

I’m a long standing supporter of Brooke and have seen first hand the incredible work they do for working equines all over the world. Their tireless vets are absolutely amazing and the charity makes a huge difference to millions of equine lives and those of their owners.

COMPASSION IN WORLD FARMING

I became fully involved with Compassion in World Farming in 2019, when I was very honoured to present their awards in Brussels. Whatever your feelings are about eating meat, all the time that we, as a society, do eat meat, we should be constantly striving to make those animals’ lives, and deaths, as good as they can possibly be. Compassion is committed to that and their work with companies around the world improves the lives of millions of farmed animals every year.
